KEYEDUP
KeyedUp is a DJ and Producer from Bristol, UK who is gaining recognition for his music within the
Dubstep scene. From an early age, the biggest influence in his music has been from the vibrant
and cultural Bristol music scene. This interest led to KeyedUp starting to MC from the age of 10 and
producing not long after. At the age of 16, KeyedUp realised that his real passion laid with producing
and decided to focus on establishing himself as a DJ and Producer. These efforts have since paid off
and March 2011 saw the release of his debut EP ‘Arpeggiated Goon’ released on Subdepth Records.
KeyedUp has played at nights alongside names such as Roni Size, Lethal Bizzle, Akala, Emalkay, Von
D, Mensah, RSD, Gemmy, Baobinga, Royal T, Total Science, Jah Tubby and Roots Manuva.
His music is spreading far and wide with fans from many different locations, both in and outside of
the UK. KeyedUp has been commended by some of Bristol’s finest DJ’s and Producers and many
would consider that he is following in the footsteps of Bristol heavyweights Joker, Mensah, Guido,
RSD and Gemmy.
KeyedUp’s signing to Overcooked Records in November 2011 is one of his latest accomplishments.
Plans are now developing for his next EP, which is set to be released in 2012.
One of KeyedUp’s main aspirations is to become a well-known and respected artist and from what
has been seen from him so far, this is a feat soon to be accomplished. Watch this space.
